VICTORIA – The Honourable Steven Point, Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia, invites the public to greet Their Imperial Majesties, The Emperor and Empress of Japan, upon their arrival at Government House on Friday, July 10th at 5:15pm.

The Government House grounds will be closed from sunset on Thursday, June 9 to noon on Sunday, July 12. Pedestrian access only will be available from 4:30pm to 5:30pm on Friday, July 10, so the public can see Their Majesties when they arrive at Government House.

Note to media:

Any media requiring vehicle access must advise Government House at least one day in advance. Vehicles must arrive by 3:30pm. No vehicle access to the grounds will be permitted after 3:30pm.
