Lieutenant Governor Hosts New Year’s Day
Levée At Government House
VICTORIA – Their Honours the Honourable Steven L. Point, Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia, and Mrs. Gwen Point, will open the doors to Government House on January 1 for the annual New Year’s Day Levée. Their Honours will greet the public and visitors will have an opportunity to enjoy light refreshments and music.
This year’s Levée is also the first event of the year-long BC150 Years celebrations. Visitors will have the chance to receive BC150 Years flags and brochures, as well as balloons and temporary tattoos for children.
Food contributions to support local food banks are encouraged and will be accepted at the door upon entrance to the Levée.
